Animal Welfare and Support

Dogtown SA

Conserv Earth and Dogtown have a great relationship and we love their ethos and what they are doing. We have assisted over the past few years with trying to lay grass in all their dog enclosures. Dog Town SA is a sanctuary for dogs who have lost their families or have been rescued from dire situations. They have nearly finished all the pens, and we will continue to assist. They have also managed to install a borehole, and here wehave donated funds to make this a reality. Overall, a win for the team and the animals at the shelter!

4our Paws

The mission of Four Paws is to improve the quality of life of underprivileged animals around Johannesburg – the focus is on squatter camp animals and feral cats. Conserv Earth has over the over the years and this year we have mainly covered some of the unpaid vet bills that are always a costly item for any shelter.  Thank you to the team for all the effort and tireless work and keep up the great work!

Woodrock

Woodrock is run by an amazing team – Stella and Nicholas. The are the two wonderful souls that drive this awesome animal welfare setup. They are one of our monthly beneficiaries, and every now and then we help on special projects where required. This past year we did a big sterilisation project with them, and they managed to sterilise 67 animals. Kwikbuild cement also donated some cement to help with new additions and renovations, which always help with expansion and the growing need for space. We will continue to support this amazing centre and team.

Soshunguve Animal Shelter and Educare Centre

Tebogo Maredi is the man behind the Soshunguve Animal Shelter and Educare Centre. They focus and advocate for the prevention of cruelty towards animals through education and awareness. An example of someone who goes above and beyond in a very rural and poor community, he has managed to soldier on until help arrived. We asked Tebogo what he needed, and audited financials was the simple answer. We jumped on board and through some great connections and one of our board members, we managed to get all his books in order. This has gone a long way to attracting donors and providing transparency to their organisation. Since then, they centre has grown from strength to strength and has received a number of fantastic new donors and long-term support. Congratulations Tebogo, we wish the centre all the best and will continue to help where we can.
