From our team members
We love what we do and we’re proud of the impact that we have made and will continue to make for the conservation of our protected areas.
Growing up with a family that was always keen on the bush, Brian had his fair share of adventures in SA, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. After a short rugby career, Brian obtained a degree in Zoology from Rhodes University and an honours degree in Conservation Ecology from Wits University. Having co-founded and established a successful business in Gauteng, Brian was temporarily kept out of the conservation space but fortunately married into a family who own a farm that forms part of the Selati Game Reserve. After many trips to and spending much time on this magnificent reserve, Brian’s connection and passion for conservation was reignited and Conserv Earth was ‘born’ to demonstrate that the successful connection between conservation areas, the communities that surround these areas and the private sector, is pivotal to the sustainable preservation of key conservation areas and to the improvement of people’s livelihoods.

After being in the Safari and Conservation industry for 17 years, Chris felt that there was something missing… the opportunity to make a difference! This was where the Conserv concept was born and the next adventure began.
“For a while now, I have felt that I have not been doing enough for the future of conservation and responsible tourism. I feel there is a great need for the young leaders of tomorrow, from all walks of life, to be shown that you can indeed make a difference. With the right guidance and exposure to Africa, guests of all ages who are seeking a purposeful impact can assist in keeping wild places wild, uplift communities and support the right players in African tourism. Along with some key partners in the conservation and tourism sector, I believe this is possible".
Chris is an award winning and published wildlife photographer. He has appeared in a number of documentaries on the Discovery and Nat Geo wild channels and holds a MSc degree in Zoology.
