Planting trees and installing toilets, a great to help make a difference in a community!!! It was such a pleasure for Conserv Earth to facilitate a day in the Lilydale community around the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, where we planted trees from Trees From Africa, and began to install toilet’s from Sanitation Ambassadors. The main sponsors for the day were the KwikGroup of companies, i.e KwikTile, Kwikbuild and KwikBulk, and assistance on the day in the community was provided by The Savanna Community Trust A thank you as well to BuildIt Mkhulu, who donated some spades and were there to assist.
There is an old Greek proverb that reads, “A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.” The team were by no means old, but planting trees for generations to come is something we should all try to do!
